Use SpecBot in ChatGPT
SpecBot turns your offers into proposals clients accept in one click, with a signed PDF for both sides. Write them in the web app, by voice, or inside ChatGPT and Claude.
To use it in ChatGPT, add SpecBot as an app with the URL https://api.specbot.dev/mcp and sign in. ChatGPT then writes the proposal text; SpecBot keeps your offers, prices the items and sends the proposal to your client.
Add SpecBot to ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Apps and turn on developer mode if your plan needs it for custom apps.
- Add a new app with the URL
https://api.specbot.dev/mcp. - Sign in to SpecBot and approve the connection.
No SpecBot account yet? Signing in during the connection lets you create a free one. ChatGPT never sees your password, and you can remove SpecBot in ChatGPT's settings at any time. The endpoint, sign-in scopes and every tool are documented on the MCP server page.
What to ask, and what comes back
"Here's my price list: website audit €1,800, landing page from €2,500, dev days at €450/day. Turn it into offers in SpecBot."
ChatGPT reads the list and saves each line as an offer in your SpecBot catalog (import_offers). You get back the offers it created with their prices. Offers whose name you already have are skipped and listed. It is told never to invent a price you didn't give.
"Draft a website audit proposal for Acme from my offers and show me the preview."
ChatGPT looks up your offers (list_offers), writes the summary, scope and timeline, and saves a draft (draft_proposal). You get the line items and totals from your catalog, the sections it wrote, anything that would block sending, and a link to edit the draft in the web app. Nothing is sent.
"Has Acme accepted the proposal yet?"
ChatGPT checks the proposal (proposal_status): draft, sent, viewed, accepted or declined, with dates, view count and the share link. Once Acme accepts, it also shows who signed and a link to the signed PDF.
To send, say so. ChatGPT first gets a preview and has to ask you; only after you confirm does SpecBot save a version, create the share link and email your client if the proposal has their email address. Your client accepts on that link without an account.
Free and Pro
Free is €0 for 3 proposals and 3 AI drafts a month, with every feature. Pro is €12 a month, or €9 a month billed yearly (€108), for unlimited proposals and 50 AI drafts a month. There are no seats, and a lapsed Pro falls back to Free. Proposals count the same in ChatGPT and in the web app; drafting inside ChatGPT doesn't use AI drafts. See pricing.
